The singer, songwriter, actor, actress, athlete, activist, a scientist on the mo**erf**king side, the star of the crystal of the dayayayyaay and a coconut water connoisseur, Mr Bretman Rock blessed his fans with the launch of his new makeup collaboration with the brand Wet N Wild last week, titled: Jungle Rock.

If you are an avid social media user and you aren’t aware of the internet sensation/beauty influencer Bretman Rock, we can easily conclude, you’ve been living under a way big rock. So to give you an overview, with an Instagram following of 14 million, including Lizzo and Ariana Grande, and a subscriber count of nearly seven million on YouTube, Bretman is a 21 years old Filipino, who has a knack for everything fashion, makeup, and fun content. His talent blended well with his eccentric and subtle drama Osama persona has helped him exceptionally in his career as a beauty vlogger.

“I started on YouTube when I was in 8th grade, and I wanted to go into fashion at that time. I was doing lookbooks and making floral crown tutorials, [but] wasn’t into makeup yet,” said Bretman while talking about how he got introduced to the beauty industry. Rock wasn’t interested in making money off the platform anyway and it was only after a fan of Rock’s re-posted one of his early “How to Contour” tutorials on Instagram, he saw his follower count skyrocket from 800k to 2.1 million in just one week. “That’s when I was kind of really introduced into the whole beauty industry. That was the point where I was like, Bitch! I’m beautiful and I need to teach the world.” So when Wet N Wild, a brand appreciated by the beauty junkies across the world, announced their first-ever influencer collab, that too with Bretman, it was sure to make a holler. “Getting the call that wet n wild wanted to build a collection around me and what I stand for? Bitch… I’m gay, I’m an immigrant, I’m a POC and in 2020 I’m taking affordable beauty to the next level. A makeup line by a man will be in-store across the globe. That’s my power. That’s our power. Welcome to the jungle, bitch,” Bretman proclaimed.

The products are inspired by Bretman’s bold spirit and are a tribute to his love for animals. Bretman’s personal brand mirrors wet n wild’s core values, which are rooted in authenticity, inclusivity and fierce self-expression. The Jungle Rock collaboration focuses on accessibility and availability through a wide variety of retailers, beginning with ULTA on February 15th and in 20,000 stores globally, on wetnwild.com, Target.com, and Amazon.
