Veteran Actor Dharmendra Passes Away at The Age of 89

Bollywood’s beloved He-Man, Dharmendra took his last breath at his Mumbai residence. Fellow actors and co-workers send condolences.

After days of health issues and concerns, beloved veteran actor Dharmendra Deol passed away this morning, 24th November 2025, at his home in Mumbai. The actor, who has more than six decades of legacy in the film industry, took his last breath at the age of 89, just two weeks before his 90th birthday.

The actor was earlier admitted at Breach Candy Hospital due to respiratory issues. A fake news of his demise spread a few days back when his family had to come forward to deny the news. Dharmendra’s family consists of his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and six children — actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol, along with Ajeeta and Vijeta.

One of the biggest stars of Indian cinema, Dharmendra debuted in the film industry with the 1960 film ‘Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere‘. The actor was felicitated with Padma Bhushan, the nation’s third-highest civilian honour from the Government of India, in 2012. He has worked in numerous hits including ‘Sholay’, ‘Yaadon Ki Baarat’, ‘Mera Gaon Mera Desh’, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’, ‘Phool Aur Patthar’, ‘Satyakam’, ‘Ayee Milan Ki Bela’, ‘Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya’, ‘Aaye Din Bahar Ke’, ‘Ankhen’, ‘Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke’, ‘Jeevan Mrityu’, ‘Jugnu’, ‘Charas’, ‘Dharam Veer’, ‘Azaad’, ‘Ghazab’, ‘Loha’, ‘Hukumat’ and ‘Apne’.

He last appeared on screen in the 2024 rom-com, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. His final on-screen appearance will be in Ikkis, set to release on December 25.
