Unlike the extravagant spectacle many expected, Rashmika and Vikay chose intimacy over opulence. The wedding took place in ITC Mementos, Udaipur, rooted in traditional and cultural reverence. Surrounded by friends and family, the atmosphere felt sacred, personal and profoundly joyous.
But make no mistake. Intimate did not mean understated.
The pre-wedding festivities were a burst of colour and emotion. Instead of traditional haldi, the couple reimagined the ritual by blending haldi with Holi. Guests weren’t mere spectators; they became participants in the couple’s happiness.
Adding to the warmth were unexpected, playful elements. The couple hosted pool volleyball sessions and even a friendly cricket match, turning their wedding into a heartfelt retreat where memories were made beyond the mandap. It was joyous, grounded and unmistakable them.

For her wedding, Rashmika chose to embody tradition in its most regal form. She wore a breathtaking creation by Anamika Khanna: a rich rust saree framed with a striking red border. The drape was not merely fabric; it was a narrative.
Temple-house motifs were intricately embroidered across the saree, echoing the carved sanctums and spiritual geometry of Hyderabad’s heritage. A Groom Who Rewrote the Rulebook
And then there was Vijay.
In a move that has already redefined groom fashion for 2026, Vijay broke away from the conventional “simple groom” code and chose to shine alongside his bride, not stand beside her in muted minimalism.
Also dressed in Anamika Khanna, his ensemble drew from the textile legacy of Hyderabad, inspired by the strength of the Vanasingaram weave. An ivory dhotii silhouette was paired with a striking vermillion angavastram embroidered with forest and temple-inspired motifs: symbols of power, lineage and sacred architecture.
But what truly set our hearts racing was his fearless embrace of tradition. Vijay adorned alta on his hands and feet, a ritual element historically reserved for brides. It was a statement of equality, devotion and shared sanctity (everything that Shiv stands for and more). Draped in gold temple jewellery from Shree Jewellers: layered necklaces, kamarband, rings, earrings, cuffs; he looked straight out of the Dwapar Yug.
Divine. Commanding. Unapologetic.
He did not dim his light; he amplified it. And in doing so, he set a new benchmark for grooms everywhere.
