The Summer of 24 has been one about trends and fashion experiments. Let us dissect and explore the designer collections showcased this summer in this blog.
Going through these collections made us realise the sheer creativity that exists within the great fashion houses of this world. The audience and public were at the edge of their seats to experience the luxury that seethes through the grand opening, the walk, and the final bow of the creative directors. The magnificent collections reflected the trends going on right now with a charming elegance.
Chanel
The gorgeous Haute Couture collection was showcased at the Opera House in Paris, France. The ingenious collection was figuratively and literally inspired by the architecture and aesthetic of the Opera House. The incredible collection was showcased on the second day of Paris Fashion Week. A lot of Chanel’s traditional ensembles were designed with modern elements. The tweed suits were also showcased in many new colours in this collection. This was the first collection that was made after Virginie Viard left the fashion house. The Fall/Winter collection that was released with team effort after the creative director left showed great effort and creativity.
Helmut Lang
The groovy pieces with bold colours are what define Helmut Lang. The incredible Resort 2025 collection displayed colours like orange and hues of blue and red. We feel that a huge nautical trend is going to continue next year. Originally driven by minimalism, his design style is organically compatible with the Helmut Lang brand, demonstrating why his hiring as creative director is an ideal match. The vibrant neon pink and black suit was the perfect description of the minimalist brand, Helmut Lang. This collection blew the critics off their seats because of the creativity and innovation it showcased.

Stella Mccartney
Stella’s Ready to Wear collection for fall 2024 was a sight for sore eyes. The blend of fabric and creativity was dripping from the direction of this show. She once again restored our faith in fashion with this collection. She has a natural upbeat collection. Her fitted coats are designed with strong shoulders that might influence a board meeting, but she shapes and delivers them down the catwalk without shirts or underpinnings.
The entire show was also kept in a greenhouse, which showcased Macarthney’s love for nature and her urgency to make people think about climate change and environmental issues. With a little more poise than ever, the British designer invites women to contribute to the movement by welcoming her spacious and mannish tailoring. Her jackets, skirts, and coats are made of eco-leather that closely resembles real leather but without the dead animals. Her simple jersey dresses hang from her ramrod shoulders.
Gucci
The Resort 2025 collection by Gucci was very highly criticised. However, Wedding Affair adored the simplicity and minimalism of all the looks. Flowy and grunge-y pieces were the foundation of this collection and are exactly what is trendy right now. The colours and the suedes blended exceptionally well and stayed on theme. The colour palette, the embroidery, and the gracefully tailored ensembles.
The modern individual expects exactly what Gucci provides. The versatility of a luxury brand to adapt to modern trends and provide an exclusive piece of apparel is beautifully orchestrated by Gucci in their Resort 2025 collection. Comfort and style were the main motives for the designers of this collection. Oversized and flowy clothing is a modern individual’s dream, and Gucci fulfilled the dreams of its customers and admirers.
