Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Hyderabad yesterday. Read below for more details!
Finally, the wedding that we had been waiting for months with baited breaths has happened and we couldn’t stop from swooning over the mesmerising wedding pictures. Telugu superstar Naga Chaitanya and acclaimed Bollywood actor Sobhita Dhulipala exchanged vows in an intimate wedding ceremony in Hyderabad on December 04. The couple opted for the Akkineni family’s Annapurna Studio built by the late actor Akkineni Nageswar Rao as their wedding venue to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. Their wedding was attended by many close friends of the Telugu movie industry like NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Upasana Konidela, Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar.
For the wedding, the bride, Sobhita Dhulipala adorned herself in a traditional gold puttu cheera saree embellished with gold zari. To complement the richness of the gold of her saree, Sobhita opted for the traditional Telugu heritage maximal jewellery. It featured a basikam (a decorative forehead thread), a maathapatti, a bullaki (septum nose pin), Surya and Chandra motif gold tiered necklaces, jhumkas and gold kadhas plus a bajubandh.
She completed her overall bridal look with soft nude makeup with a sharp eyeliner that gracefully aligned all the focus to her gold jewellery. For the hair, she did a classic braided hairstyle replete with gold hair ornaments along its length and gajra. And at last, she opted for minimal henna motifs, complete with a red manicure on her hands.

The groom, Naga Chaitanya matched the regal grandeur of his bride’s wedding ensemble by choosing the traditional madhuparkham attire with a white pancha featuring a bold red border paired with a simple yet elegant white kurta. To finish his wedding look, he adorned his forehead with a ceremonial basikam (a decorative forehead thread).
Chaitanya’s father Nagarjuna Akkineni congratulated the couple on X by writing, “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me.”
He further added, “This celebration holds even deeper meaning as it unfolds under the blessings of ANR Garu’s statue, installed to mark his centenary year. It feels as though his love and guidance are present with us in every step of this journey.”
