YouTuber Aaliyah Kashyap tied the knot with her long-time beau, Shane Gregoire in a star-studded affair on December 11th, 2024, Wednesday. The couple hosted a series of ceremonies including haldi, mehendi, cocktails and a reception in the bride’s hometown surrounded by both their families. The celebrations were attended by various celebrities from the B-town including Anurag Kashyap’s second wife Kalki and his friend Imtiaz Ali. Aaliyah’s girl gang of Khushi Kapoor, Sakshi Shivdasani, Kareema Barry, Muskan Chanana and more could also be seen present throughout.
The Love Story
While Aaliyah is popular for creating content, promoting different labels through her social media, and being the daughter of popular Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, Shane is an entrepreneur and founder of the software company Rocket Powered Sound. The now-married couple met on a dating app and were quick to find love with each other. Their relationship of many years was formalised by Shane when he proposed to Aaliyah during their trip to Bali.
The 23-year-old took to Instagram to share the happy moment with the caption: “THIS HAPPENED!!!!! ❤️ to my best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my FIANCÉ! you are the love of my life. thank you for showing me what real & unconditional love feels like…” The couple later hosted a formal engagement ceremony in Mumbai on August 8th, 2023 where they looked ethereal in matching traditional ivory ensembles by designer Anita Dongre. While Aaliyah adorned the Qirat lehenga, inspired by Sindh architecture and featuring floral work and aari embroidery, Shane adorned the Dhruvam Nehru Jacket with the Aavyam kurta and trousers, with tone-on-tone embroidery.
The Haldi
Prior to beginning her wedding festivities in Mumbai, Aaliyah ventured on her bachelorette trip to Phuket, Thailand with her girl gang including Khushi Kapoor, Muskan Chanana, Kareema Barry, Sakshi Shivdasani, Ida Ali and Manika Malkani. Returning back Aaliyah and Shane hosted their Haldi ceremony on December 8th, 2024, Sunday surrounded by their friends and family. Both wore traditional yellow attires and Aaliyah shared the photos of the ceremony in a post on social media with the caption: “and so it begins…”
The Cocktail
For their cocktail on December 9th, 2024, Monday, the couple opted for a classic combination of red and black. While Aaliyah Kashyap adorned a custom red Arpita Mehta lehenga, Shane Gregoire chose a bespoke black bandhgala kurta paired with a mirror work jacket and trousers.

The Mehendi
Mehendi was a fun-filled occasion on December 10th, 2024, Tuesday, for the couple who both wore monochrome forest green Anita Dongre ensembles for the same. Shane donned the Hirav printed silk Nehru jacket, with the Khidr printed silk kurta and jewel green silk trousers, whereas Aaliyah adorned the Life of the Nightforest Skirt Set. Both the bride and groom to-be got their hands adorned with mehendi designs of their pet dog and cat, Cosmo and Kai. Their friends and family such as Khushi Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin were also present at the ceremony and got mehendi designed on their hands as well.
The Wedding
For her wedding with the love of her life, Aaliyah Kashyap chose to become a Tarun Tahiliani bride, by wearing the Bloom Couture Lehenga. Shane complemented his bride in a classic sherwani by the same designer. The couple shared a series of photographs from their ceremony in a joint post on Instagram with the caption: “now and forever”. The post included photos of Aaliyah walking down the aisle with her bridesmaids, Shane’s emotional reaction on seeing her as his bride and their clicks during the varmala and puja. The wedding was attended by many popular faces such as Imtiaz Ali, Kalki Koechlin, Vedang Raina and more.
The Reception
Later in the day, the now-wedded couple hosted a formal reception where they followed a co-ordinated theme of gold and black with Aaliyah Kashyap looking stylish in a gold corset top paired with a draped skirt and Shane Gregoire stunning in a black suit featuring a black shirt, straight-fit trousers and an embellished front open dinner jacket with satin lapels. Many celebrities were sighted at the grand celebration.
While Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya made their first public appearance after their marriage at the reception, Abhishek Bachchan accompanied his nephew Agastya for the celebration. Suhana Khan, Alaya F, Suvreen Chawla, Bobby Deol and wife Tanya Deol, Boney Kapoor, Nazwazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, Taapsee Pannu, Orry and more were also in attendance to congratulate the couple.
