Alia Bhatt made history in the first ever Gucci Saree, attending the closing ceremony of Cannes 2025
Alia Bhatt is making the fashion headlines right now and we are in love with it. The actress walked on the red carpet at the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival wearing a custom made Gucci Saree. Alia, who is also the global ambassador of the brand, is the first ever woman to wear Gucci’s first ever creation with the iconic Indian silhouette.
After making her Cannes debut in the Schiaparelli gown, Alia chose the nude-hued sequinned Gucci drape covered with the brand’s signature GG monogram. It marks a milestone for the luxury brand, being its first attempt to work with Indian style and silhouette. The attire was bejewelled from head to toe in Swarovski crystals, making the look even more stunning and Indian.
The look that added desi glamour on the Cannes 2025 carpet featured a plunging blouse, a straight skirt and a dupatta-like drape hanging from her shoulder—all in a mesh GG monogrammed jaal fabric. Styled by celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor, Alia donned this attire with Old-Hollywood waves gracing her shoulders, kohled eyes with nude lips and a diamond tennis necklace that tied the whole look together.
