Actress Jheel Mehta, popular for playing the role of Sonu in India’s most popular sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’, tied the knot with her gamer and content creator fiance Aditya Dube in January 2025. The actress took to Instagram to share a video of her ethereal bridal entry and emotional varmala ceremony, announcing the news of her marriage.
Before this, she also posted her wedding film on the social media app, in which both Jheel and Aditya appeared to be emotional about their upcoming nuptials and enjoying their haldi and sangeet. Jheel looked stunning in a bold red bridal attire that sparkled with silver embroidery, and Aditya complimented her in an ivory sherwani. While the bride accentuated her look with a polki diamond and emerald set paired with a minimalistic matha patti and nath, the groom followed the theme with layered pearl haar and sarpech.

The actress’s co-star from the show Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal who played the role of ‘Roshan Singh Sodhi’ commented on the post to congratulate her: “Beautiful. Congrats. God bless”. Many of her fans also commented: “Congratulations to our sonu Happy married Life ❤️”
In 2024, Aditya proposed to Jheel in a filmy ceremony surrounded by their friends while later the engaged couple hosted a formal engagement ceremony for their families. Later in the year, Jheel proposed to Aditya during their pre-wedding shoot.
Jheel, who played the role of ‘Sonu Bhide’ on the comedy show captured the hearts of many with her fun yet responsible character. She left the show in 2012 due to her board exams, which she wanted to focus on. She later shifted career paths and is now a popular makeup artist and co-owns a media agency, Hextech Media with her mother. Aditya on the other hand, is a 3D artist for a gaming studio and a gamer, streamer and content creator.
