Day 1 of the annual fashion event began with Péro’s collection ‘Hello Péro!’ featuring an array of ensembles inspired by the Japanese fiction icon. Day 2 as usual was celebrated as Sustainable Day with all designers and brands presenting collections that were eco-friendly and a step forward from India towards sustainable fashion. Lakme Fashion Week 2024 X FDCI: Day 3
The third day at the fashion event being held in Delhi featured showcases from designers such as Richa Khemka, Payal Singhal, and Payal Jain, brands like Marks & Spencer, and much-awaited presentations like Nexa’s ‘The Spotlight’ and FDCI’s ‘Denim Edit’. With actress Bhumi Pednekar as a showstopper, designer Richa Khemka presented the ‘Piecing Together Art’ collection inspired by the myriad threads that make up an outfit.
Marks & Spencer presented the ‘Big Autumn Energy’ with autumn wear in various majestic shades. Olympic Medalist Manu Bhaker walked the show for the brand. As a part of Nexa’s spotlight, Til’s ‘MIRAGE’ explored identity, perception and illusion. Additionally, designer Payal Singhal celebrated 25 years in the industry with her collection ‘Tazhib’ inspired by the Mughal art and architecture.

Lakme Fashion Week 2024 X FDCI: Day 4
Designers Abhishek Sharma and Punit Balana lit the runway with their innovative creations on Day 4 of Lakme Fashion Week 2024 X FDCI. Sharma’s collection ‘Trin’ meaning grass in Sanskrit, highlighted an earthy colour palette and featured ornaments inspired by fields using metal couching and sustainable Raffia fibre. Balana on the other hand paid homage to the vibrant city with ‘Johari Bazaar’ in ensembles made with Mughal motifs, Khaka patterns and more echoing the rich heritage of Jaipur.
While actress Sharvari Wagh walked the ramp for Pankaj & Nidhi, Monisha Jaisingh brought back the famous jewellery designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahni to the ramp. Lakme Salon X Samant Chauhan presented the ‘Ethereal Bloom’ bridal collection with iconic Indian wedding symbols on modern silhouettes. The highlight of the day was surely the Nexa presents OTT (Tarun Tahiliani) show where the newly married actress Aditi Rao Hydari stunned the ramp in a royal blue ensemble.
Lakme Fashion Week 2024 X FDCI: Day 5
The last day of the annually anticipated fashion event had all eyes on the ramp. Inspired by the scent of gardenia musk, KALKI’s ‘Mushk’ is a wedding couture collection featuring structured peplums, fishtail skirts, hand-done sherwanis and more. Karisma Kapoor continued to steal hearts with her magnificent beauty on the ramp for Urmil, donned in a gold-hued outfit. Inspired by celebrations, designers Rishi & Vibhuti presented the collection, ‘Tamasha: The Enchanted’ intertwining fashion and fantasy with actress Manushi Chillar as the showstopper.
The closing show for the fashion week was the House of Lakme Grand Finale X Rohit Bal in a collection that is an ode to nature, beauty and the art of transformation. With roses as centrepieces, the ensembles were ethereal and the designer’s showcase shined through with actress Ananya Panday as the showstopper.
