The Pink City of Jaipur witnessed another spectacular moment in pageant history as Manika Vishwakarma was crowned Miss Universe India 2025 on August 18. The 22-year-old from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, received the prestigious crown from outgoing titleholder Rhea Singha in a glittering ceremony that celebrated India’s finest talent.
This marks the second consecutive year that Jaipur has hosted the national finale, cementing the city’s status as a premier destination for beauty pageants. The Miss Universe India 2025 winner will now carry India’s hopes to the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.

The competition was fierce, with Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh securing the first runner-up position, followed by Mehak Dhingra as second runner-up and Amishi Kaushik from Haryana as third runner-up. However, it was Manika’s compelling final answer that sealed her victory. When asked about priorities for women’s empowerment, she passionately advocated for prioritising women’s education over temporary economic assistance, stating that education creates lasting change and empowers women to become self-reliant contributors to society.
Currently pursuing her final year in Political Science and Economics in Delhi, the Miss Universe India 2025 titleholder brings impressive credentials beyond her academic achievements. Manika founded Neuronova, an innovative initiative focused on reframing neurodivergence, particularly ADHD, as cognitive strengths rather than limitations. Her diverse accomplishments include being an NCC graduate, a classically trained dancer and an acclaimed artist recognised by the prestigious Lalit Kala Academy and JJ School of Arts. Additionally, she has represented India at the BIMSTEC Sewocon under the Ministry of External Affairs, demonstrating her commitment to international relations and diplomacy.
The journey to becoming Miss Universe India 2025 began when Manika won the Miss Universe Rajasthan title in 2024, which opened the pathway to national recognition. Her victory represents more than beauty and grace; it embodies the modern Indian woman who balances intellect, artistry and social advocacy.
