Attaining the same outstanding performance as premium models, the Nikon Z5 II full-frame mirrorless camera is an ideal choice to capture your big day!

The Z5 II carries on the high-end Nikon cameras’ superior shooting capabilities and performance but adds an even greater ability to capture a large number of dark or dim lighting scenes and conditions. With the same EXPEED 7 image-processing engine as the Nikon Z9, the new Nikon Z8 flagship model and the Nikon Z5, it also features deep learning (AI) powered subject detection and makes focusing on the subject easier with very accurate, fast autofocusing in about one third* of the time that the Nikon Z5 takes.

Moreover, the high-sensitivity capability enabled by the back-illuminated CMOS sensor eliminates blur and noise for lovely depiction of subjects’ and scenes’ textures and details, even in low-light conditions, for example, indoor shooting or photographing night landscapes.

The Z5II also features Imaging Recipes, which are downloadable imaging presets developed by Nikon and creators, and Flexible Color Picture Control that enables users to control with precision the depiction of colors in an intuitive way. The Z5II is a camera that allows users to completely immerse themselves in their own individual creative expression while benefitting from the robust shooting capabilities and richly expressive qualities of a full-frame camera.

Nikon will continue to seek out new dimensions in optical performance while fulfilling users’ demands, working to develop imaging culture, with the hope of increasing imaging expression possibilities.

Primary features

Nikon

1. Inheriting advanced AF performance from high-end models
AI-empowered deep learning technology has been applied to the Z5II to allow automatic detection of the same nine types of subjects as found on the Z9 and Z8, both for still shooting and video recording. The camera is the first to feature AF-A focus mode among full-frame Nikon mirrorless cameras; when capturing stills, the camera automatically changes between AF-S and AF-C focus modes when the subject moves or shifts in composition.

2. A range of features that enable users to let their creativity loose with distinctive color and imaging expression
Nikon Imaging Cloud connectivity allows downloading of Imaging Recipes suggested by Nikon or guided by renowned creators at no additional cost, and for using these recipes while shooting. Recipes downloaded into the camera are instantly available from the dedicated Picture Control button. Users can shift rapidly among color presets and select from a multitude of expressions to find their personal style.

3. Shooting performance for stunning rendering of dark scenes
The Z5II has the same EXPEED 7 image-processing engine as the Z9, along with a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that holds up well to high sensitivities, for much less noise. The camera has a maximum standard sensitivity for still-image capture of ISO 64000 and ISO 51200 for video capture.

This exceptional high-sensitivity performance allows for the capture of lovely, high-definition images where textures and details are maintained, even in dark or poorly lit indoor places like restaurants and aquariums, or outdoors or at night. Indeed, the autofocus detection range goes as low as the low-light limit of -10 EV*1, making focusing in dark environments simpler and opening up shooting opportunities.

4.Functionality and usability that enable trusted and comfortable photography
AUTO shooting mode has been enhanced with the excellent image-processing capability of EXPEED 7 and Nikon’s proprietary AI deep learning technology. The camera reacts to a broad range of shooting situations by interpreting and identifying the subject and its environment, then automatically adjusting exposure settings.
