And, if there’s any celebrity who definitely understood this assignment, it was Ariana Grande who graced the Oscars red carpet in a Schiaparelli bustier dress by designer Daniel Roseberry which was a part of the brand’s Spring-Summer 2025 couture collection, Icarus. A corseted bodice gave way to a peplum skirt establishing the ‘Wicked’ star’s aura as a singer and actress.
Demi Moore
While Demi Moore might not have won the award, she surely was one of the winners at the red carpet, shining bright in a custom crystal-embroidered Giorgio Armani Privé gown with a plunging neckline and pleated hip detailing that led to a dramatic train. Completing the look were her Chopard earrings, bracelet and ring.

If royalty existed in Bollywood, we are pretty sure they would have worn the same outfit actress Michelle Yeoh wore to the Oscars 2025. The ‘Wicked’ actress and one of the brand ambassadors of Balenciaga donned a royal blue Balenciaga gown with a dramatic train, paired with a sparkling necklace and ear cuff from Boucheron.
Elle Fanning
‘A Complete Unknown’ actress Elle Fanning has been slaying the award season in classic Old Hollywood attires that are a hit among the fashion public each time. At the Oscars 2025 red carpet, she looked ethereal in a Givenchy gown made by designer Sarah Burton who is all set to debut as the creative director of the brand in the upcoming Paris Fashion Week. Inspired by Hubert de Givenchy’s first collection from 1952, the white lace dress featured a sweetheart neckline, a black belt detail, and a dramatic Watteau back. He surely was one of the most well-dressed male celebrities of the night, accompanied by his girl, Kylie Jenner who adorned a custom Miu Miu gown.
Cynthia Erivo
Cynthia Erivo was nominated for ‘Best Actress’ at the Academy Awards for her role as Elphaba in ‘Wicked’. The actress paid an ode to her character in a custom deep green velvet Louis Vuitton gown with pillowy off-the-shoulder sleeves and a pointed collar. She completed her look with her signature nails done by nail artist Mycah Dior and jewellery by Roberto Coin.
Mikey Madison
While you might not have guessed it at first sight, Mikey Madison’s Oscars 2025 dress was an Old Hollywood classic as well. The Academy Award winner for ‘Best Actress’ for ‘Anora’ graced the ceremony in a recreated Dior dress that was originally designed by Christian Dior himself for the spring/summer 1956 collection. The ‘Le Bal à Paris’ was initially conceived in white organdy satin and black velvet, but was recreated for the actress with black velvet and pink duchess satin.
