Star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu married her fiancé Venkata Datta Sai on Sunday in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur!
India’s star shuttler and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu tied the knot with Hyderabad-based businessman Venkata Datta Sai in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur on Sunday (December 22). Surrounded by the warm embrace of family members and friends, the marriage ceremony was held at the luxurious resort, Raffles. PV Sindhu looked ethereal as a bride wearing a champagne-gold saree with a matching blouse creating a quintessential monochromatic bridal look. For jewellery, she chose traditional South Indian temple jewellery featuring layered necklaces and hair jewels added the quintessential sparkle on her special day!

Datta is a Hyderabad-based Executive Director at Posidex Technologies. He got engaged to PV Sindhu on December 14. Sindhu earlier this month announced her engagement by dropping beautiful pictures with Venkata on her Instagram. She shared the couple’s picture and used a quote by Kahlil Gibran as the caption. It read, “When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives nought but itself.”
The wedding ceremony was also attended by the Union Culture and Tourism Minister of the Government of India, Mr Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. He took to X and shared a picture of the special occasion and wrote, “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkata Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”
Sindhu’s father mentioned that both families were well acquainted for a long time, but the wedding plans came together in just a month. The couple chose this date as Sindhu’s schedule will be packed with training and competitions starting next year. It is predicted that the reception will be held in Hyderabad on Tuesday (December 24).
