They either adorn their hands with mehendi on the front and back of their palms or opt for symbolic shapes drawn with alta. What catches the eye here is the meaning behind these designs such as the crescent moon and the sun. While the half-moon symbolizes the eternal nature of love and marriage along with being divine due to its placement on the head of Lord Shiva, the sun stands for the timelessness of love.

With blushing hues of pink and highlighter on the lips, cheeks and eyes the pearl skin makeup lets the bride’s natural beauty and skin shine. For the tresses, most millennial brides relied on the classic bun whereas the Gen-Z ones experimented with loose and wavy tresses.
