Weddings keep happening every year and with that, the trends keep changing too. Let’s analyse some bridal outfit trends that have been going on in 2024.

Trendy wedding fashion changes every month. This year has been a whirlpool of trends in the wedding industry. A lot of the trends have also been influenced by what the celebrities were wearing. Some of the old trends were revived, some new trends came and some bridal outfit trends were moulded into new ones.

Co-ord Sets

A rather recent discovery, co-ord sets are now highly sought for by the new age brides. Co-ord sets bring versatility and comfort within one outfit. The co-ord sets are also easily re-usable. The perfect definition of elegance, co-ord sets can be worn with other outfits as the pieces in the outfit can be styled differently with other outfits even after the wedding. This makes co-ord sets a no-brainer because it helps brides to re-use their wedding outfits and get their money’s worth out of the outfits they spent their money on.

The Red Rage

Red is a colour that can never go out of style. It’s auspiciousness and fiery nature has made a significant mark in the Wedding Industry. Brides more often than not, choose to wear red or a shade of red. It brings a touch of traditionality to the modern atmosphere. Even now, Sonakshi Sinha was seen adorning a red saree to a reception in June 2024. This is a wedding trend we can get behind. This colour even makes it easier because then, most of the brides can just use their mother’s lehengas and make new outfits for their special day to carry their mother’s love into their married lives.

Statement Sleeves

Brides are making a statement not just by their entrance but also by their outfits, specifically, their sleeves. The sleeves of the blouses of lehengas and sarees are bouncy and flowy, unlike the minimal ¾ sleeves that traditional brides had. Brides don’t shy away from making a statement and this year they found a new way to do it. Moreover, the sleeves add a nice little funky element to the outfit which makes it even more unique and exclusive. The brides took their persona into their own hands and made sure to make a statement this year.

Comfort over Bling

If there’s anything the modern bride knows it’s the importance of comfort. Switching out heavier lehengas for lighter ones and wearing silhouettes with lighter embroideries. This trend also adds to one other, the floral lehengas. A lot more brides were seen wearing the floral lehenga this year for their summer weddings. We think that bridal outfit trends that have anything to do with flowers, should be here to stay. Many brides are also choosing to wear sarees on their special day just because, it’s more comfortable and easier to handle, and let’s just say that incredible is not enough to define them.

Muted Shades

Vibrant and neon colours will always have their place in the wedding scene. However, a trend that is popular right now is of brides who are choosing to wear more neutral colours to their weddings. Colours like grey, light mauve, brown, and even white are being worn by the modern bride. These muted shades might thought of as mature but, on the contrary, they give a very girlish look to the bride and even make the natural features pop out more.
