The Filmfare Awards 2025 were pure Bollywood magic: starry, nostalgic and full of unexpected wins. Let’s relive the night that had everyone talking.

If there’s one night that captures the heart and hysteria of Bollywood, it’s the Filmfare Awards 2025. From jaw-dropping performances to teary-eyed acceptance speeches, this year’s ceremony had everything: nostalgia, sparkle and that irresistible filmy charm that only our industry can pull off. Held at Ahmedabad’s grand EKA Arena by Kankaria Lake, the 70th edition was a full-blown celebration of cinema, stories and stars. And trust me, if you weren’t watching it live, you definitely missed a show worth talking about. But hey, that’s what we’re here for! With Wedding Affair, let’s relive the glitter and gossip of the star-studded night.

A Night Drenched in Nostalgia

Filmfare Awards 2025

The theme this year—Celebrating 70 Years of Filmfare— was like a love letter to Hindi cinema. And who better to host such a sentimental night than the trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Manish Paul? Shah Rukh, fresh off his National Award win, charmed the audience with his trademark wit and warmth. One of the most emotional moments was when SRK and Kajol recreated the iconic “Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai” scene from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The crowd went wild with their phones up and hearts full of nostalgia.

The tribute to 50 years of Sholay had everyone in their feels too; it was like Bollywood’s golden memories had come alive under one roof.

Performances That Stole the Show

Filmfare Awards 2025

The Filmfare Awards 2025 weren’t just about the trophies; it was also about the taal and tamasha. From Kriti Sanon’s fierce moves to Akshay Kumar’s powerhouse performance, every act brought a slice of cinematic nostalgia. Abhishek Bachchan’s tribute to his father, Amitabh Bachchan, was pure goosebumps; imagine grooving to “Khaike Paan Banaras Wala” and “Jumma Chumma” while the entire arena cheers you on. The cherry on top was when Abhishek pulled his mother, Jaya Bachchan, on stage for a little twirl. You could practically hear the collective “aww” across the audience.

And the Award Goes to…

Award for the Best Debut Actor, Male was bagged by Lakshya Lalwani for his incredible performance in Kill.

Abhishek Bachchan (I Want to Talk) and Kartik Aaryan (Chandu Champion) shared the Best Actor trophy, while Alia Bhatt’s emotional performance in Jigra earned her Best Actress. The Critics’ Choice nods went to Rajkummar Rao (Srikanth) and Pratibha Rannta (Laapataa Ladies), both richly deserved.
