The 20th edition of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) was organised from 20-23 December 2024 and garnered immense love from across the world!

With the motivation to place Jaipur on the World Gem & Jewellery map, the 20th Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS)  was organised from 20 – 23 December 2024 at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC) in Sitapura, Jaipur. The theme of this year’s show was ‘Rubies… Rare, Royal and Revered’. The show witnessed participation in large numbers, ranging from visitors to traders for exquisite displays of jewellery, gemstones, artefacts, etc.

Inaugural Ceremony

In the Inaugural Ceremony, The honourary chief guest was Rajasthan Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. In his speech, he addressed The Gems and Jewellery Industry’s contribution to the State’s economy, accounting for 17% of Rajasthan’s GDP. The Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) plays a pivotal role in skill development among the youth, inspiring them to uphold and advance the rich legacy of gems and jewellery. The world’s largest gem bourse should be established in Jaipur and the State Government will support this initiative.

  • To focus on international markets alongside domestic ones.

Packed with Visitors

The Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) at JECC, Sitapura was attended by a large number of jewellery enthusiasts. From the residents of Jaipur to many foreign tourists visiting Jaipur at year-end were there to witness the opulence of the December show. The visitors who were curious about different types of jewellery were satisfied by the answers from the stall owners with years of expertise and experience in the jewellery industry. Exhibitors of the show were also encouraged by witnessing the interests of the interested buyers and visitors and were more than pleased to resolve their curiosities. 

Exhibitors claimed this year’s edition to be the most profitable and successful one to date. Due to the significant rise in gold prices in recent years, the preferences of consumers gradually shifted towards lightweight jewellery. There was also significant attention magnified towards the bridal jewellery, with numerous inquiries pouring in. The visitors get to witness the perfect blend of heritage and modernity with innovative designs in open settings and also traditional styles like Kundan Meena Jewellery and Parab Polki. 

JJDF Becomes a Platform for Young Designers

Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival

The Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF), organised every year in JJS, has now seamlessly become the highlight of JJS. As the main objective to encourage and promote jewellery designers and artisans, JJS hosted the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) for the seventh time this year. The festival showcased traditional design highlighting rubies through a contemporary approach under the theme ‘Tradition Meets Innovation…Ruby Redefined.JJDF also was throttled by the participation of young designers from several leading 10 design institutes. 

The Artisans Pavilion became the main attraction of the festival where stalls of handicrafts like exclusive Thewa Jewellery, Kundan Meena and gemstone carving were set up by the artisans. Along with this, visitors got an opportunity to see and understand these traditional art forms closely through live demonstrations.

Uncut: Unfiltered Dialogues

Under the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF), ‘Uncut: Unfiltered Dialogues’ was organised, which included insightful talks by industry experts. This was a new feature added to the show this year. At the closing ceremony, the vendors associated with the event were given mementoes for their cooperation. Since the inception of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) in 2003, most of the members have been associated with it. It was concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Rajiv Jain in which he extended a heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors and supporters of the show.
