The world’s second richest man, Jeff Bezos is set to tie the knot with his fiancee Lauren Sánchez on Christmas Eve. Read below to find out.
Billionaire and the second richest man on the globe, Jeff Bezos will be marrying his long-time girlfriend and fiancee, Emmy-winning journalist Lauren Sánchez in Aspen on Christmas Eve in a grand ceremony deemed to be the biggest billionaire wedding of the decade. Bezos, 60, proposed to Lauren, 55 in May 2023 aboard his brand-new superyacht, Koru with a cushion-cut pink diamond ring with an estimated carat weight of 20-30 diamonds.
Later in August, the couple celebrated their engagement with close friends Kris Jenner, Leonardo Di Caprio, Wendy Murdoch, Bill Gates, and more in Positano, Italy. In an interview, Sánchez shared that they were still deciding upon the venue and nature of the wedding but she was excited to adopt her fiance’s last name and become ‘Mrs Bezos’.
As per reports, the couple is all set to seal their love in a winter wonderland-themed ceremony in Aspen, Colorado, where they have travelled frequently since they fell in love. Considering the venue one can only expect the wedding to be a display of grandeur with dazzling ice sculptures, a multi-storey Christmas tree, twinkling lights and more.
It seems the to-be-weds have been inspired by the snow-covered beauty of Aspen’s landscapes to craft a wedding straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie–except it will be ten times grander. With a worth of over $232 billion, Jeff Bezos can surely afford to splurge on creating a Christmas spectacle that leaves people stunned and in awe of his wedding to his fiance who joked about having a wedding Pinterest board ready like “every other bride.”

Bezos is the founder, executive chairman, former President and CEO of Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce and cloud computing company. In contrast, Sánchez is a pilot, former entertainment reporter and news anchor who has worked at KTTV Fox 11’s Good Day LA and News at Ten.
The duo were introduced to each other by Sánchez’s then-husband Patrick Whitesell, a Hollywood agent for popular faces including Matt Damon, Christian Bale and more. They ran in the same circles for years and were spotted together in various parties. Bezos hired Sánchez as a pilot to shoot aerial shots for his project ‘Blue Origin’, a space-launch company. What developed as a working relationship bloomed into a soulful love that sealed their fate. On 4th April 2019, Jeff Bezos and his wife of 25 years, Mackenzie Scott, got officially divorced. A day later, his girlfriend filed for a divorce from her husband of 13 years. While Bezos shares four children with his former wife, Sánchez has three.
