The overall tourism infrastructure is dominated primarily by the private sector. That’s why the government needs to introduce a proactive policy and administrative framework which will result in amplifying the investor’s confidence.

Through the policy, the state government will be promoting “safe tourism” by creating dedicated police units/police patrols around key destinations to ensure women’s safety. This will also help in leveraging a positive Tourism Friendly Index (TFI) that can elevate its position as a preferred tourist destination in India. Also, surveillance cameras at tourist destinations will foster a safe environment for tourists. Besides these, the tourism policy will focus on providing world-class shopping experiences to its tourists around the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR).
