Thus, to help you choose the appropriate bridal jewellery for your upcoming wedding in 2025 we at Wedding Affair have looked through the most successful wedding jewellery trends of 2024 and mentioned them in the blog! Check them out below!
Colourful Gemstones
While the big-fat Ambani wedding can be credited for setting various trends in the wedding industry, the biggest and most popular one was definitely that of adorning colourful gemstones in wedding jewellery. From Isha Ambani’s Navratan necklace consisting of diamond, pearl, ruby, sapphire, emerald, coral, cat’s eye, hessonite and yellow sapphire to Nita Ambani’s Colombian Emerald and Diamond Suite by Viren Bhagat, the wedding set the space for gemstones to be in the spotlight. Actress Keerthy Suresh adorned a stunning ruby and polki necklace set for her wedding and Aditi Rao Hydari’s jewellery was a mix of emerald and polki.

Layered Jewellery
Wedding Jewellery trends this year were not limited to different jewellery types but included one very unique point, layering. Brides stacked their necklaces to create a regal and queenly bridal jewellery look for themselves. Brides like Keerthy Suresh, Sobhita Dhulipala and Radhika Merchant adorned a heavy choker and layered it with two heavily embellished necklaces, one falling just above the bust and another falling just below it.
Jewels for the Tresses
Out of all the wedding jewellery trends we spotted this year, jewellery for the hair is our favourite. Jadau pins, mathapatti and braid jewellery were seen on every other bride and bridesmaid throughout the year. The most stunning braid jewellery was adorned by Isha Ambani from Birdichand Jewellers for Anant and Radhika’s post-haldi party. Sobhita Dhulipala also hopped on to the trend for her wedding and adorned her braid with braid jewellery alongside jadau pins and Keerthy Suresh adorned an emerald studded mathapatti.
The More the Merrier
Statement jewellery pieces have been one of the most viral wedding jewellery trends of 2024. Ditching the bygone trend of dainty jewellery brides have gone for maximalism in the boldest way ever. Rakulpreet donned a pair of chunky earrings for her mehendi and a diamond and polki necklace for her wedding day. Similarly, Surbhi Jyoti opted for a heavy maang tikka paired with chunky earrings for her mehendi and a diamond and emerald polki necklace for her vows.
Acing Accessories
While the main components of bridal jewellery are the necklace, earrings, and bangles, this year, some new accessories have upped the bar of wedding jewellery trends. These include sparkling diamond nath and haath phool worn by Kriti Kharbanda, intricately designed gold baju bandh worn by Keerthy Suresh, heavy and bold kamar bandh worn by Sobhita Dhulipala, and dangling chain earrings worn by Aditi Rao Hydari and Kriti Kharbanda.
Glittering Grooms
Wedding jewellery and wedding jewellery trends are no longer limited to brides. Grooms of 2024 decided to compliment their brides with amazing jewellery looks. Anant Ambani adorned some viral brooches such as the Panther brooch from Heeramaneck & Son featuring a 720-carat Zambian emerald, the Elephant Brooch from Kantilal Chotalal featuring diamonds and emeralds and the Lion brooch from Lorraine Schwartz featuring yellow diamonds and an oval diamond. Pulkit Samrat complimented his bride in a royal haar and polki earrings from Jagdish Jewellers, Chandigarh and Jackky Bhagnani complimented Rakulpreet’s polki jewellery with a polki necklace from Uncuts The Polki Store.
