Initiated in 2009 by social activist and entrepreneur Nalini Shekar, the day helps preserve the traditional ensemble and enhance its popularity across the globe. 

Crafted with Indian handlooms by traditional artisans, each thread of a saree carries with it the identity of a culture and the love of a family. When it comes to bridal sarees specifically, one ensures that they are made with the overwhelming emotion a bride experiences and with the eternal beauty that shines bright through her.
