The ‘Highway’ actor Randeep Hooda married the love of his life Lin Laishram on 29th November, 2023 in a traditional Meitei ceremony in Imphal, Manipur. The wedding rituals that took place at Chumthang Shannapung resort in Imphal were dripped in traditional elegance. The internet went gaga over the simple yet graceful photographs of traditional Meitei weddings shared by the couple. Laishram and Hooda have been dating for a while. The duo never accepted nor denied their relationship officially until in the year 2022 Laishram was seen celebrating Diwali with Hooda and his parents. The intimate wedding ceremony had only family and close friends in attendance. The couple who joined the ‘Just Married’ club will be throwing a grand reception in Mumbai.

The Love Saga 

Randeep Hooda born in Haryana is an Indian actor who works predominantly for the Hindi film industry. Laishram is an Indian model, actress and businesswoman from Manipur. With similar ambitions and dreams, they both were fated to meet. The duo had known each other since their theatre days. They met at Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group called Motley where Hooda was senior to Laishram. Laishram and Hooda’s love story is a true testimonial of the saying ‘Love is friendship’. While working together, they got to know each other closely. Friendship was soon fostered between the two, they had an amazing bond for years and later took the route to love. The couple kept their relationship under wraps for a significant period.

The Wedding 

Laishram & Hooda shared glimpses of their wedding on Instagram and captioned, “From today, we are One…” Following this, congratulatory posts poured in, and Bollywood stars like Vijay Varma, Guneet Monga, Neena Gupta and Maanvi Gagroo wished the couple a happily ever after. For the wedding ceremonies, the couple embraced Laishram’s traditional roots. Randeep was dressed up in white and looked like an astonishing Manipuri groom. He capped off the look with a white shawl and a Meithei traditional turban. Laishram was dressed in a Potloi or Polloi, a cylindrical skirt made up of thick cloth and bamboo. It was ornamented with satin and velvet material, as well as gems and glitter. For jewellery, she was dripping in lush gold jewels from head to toe. She looked every bit of a quintessential Manipuri bride in shades of golden and maroon. Laishram and Hooda’s wedding venue was a dreamy setup in shades of white with warm lights. Seeking blessings of their close ones, Laishram-Hooda commenced their eternal journey infused with love, warmth and light.
