The final question of Miss Universe 2023 which garnered the finalists sparkling crowns and proudly earned sashes was “If you could live one year in another woman’s shoes who would you choose and why?” While Miss Australia honoured her mother by saying that she would like to step into her mother’s shoes, Miss Thailand named Malala Yousafzai as her answer. She said her struggle and achievements highly inspire her. However, Miss Nicaragua’s answer was the most unique and unexpected. She mentioned the name of Mary Wollstonecraft who is known as the women’s rights activist and mother of feminism. The judges were impressed by the answer as it struck all the right chords. Showcasing grace, eloquence, and cultural heritage these beauty queens have marked their imprints all over the world and have made history.
