Love knocks on your door when you least expect it and can come from the unlikeliest of pairings. A true testament to this is the love story of a scion of the financial empire, Jay Kotak and a proficient actor and model Aditi Arya. The couple exchanged their vows on November 7th, 2023 at the Jio Convention Centre, Mumbai in a traditional ceremony seeking the blessings of their near and dear ones. The additional ceremonies were conducted in Udaipur. Many industrial stalwarts and high-profile individuals including Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani attended the opulent wedding and gave their well wishes to the duo in love.Â
The Love Story
Aditi Arya, born in Chhattisgarh is known for her roles in the Ranveer Singh-starrer ’83,’ ‘Ism,’ and ‘Tantra’. Beauty pageant title holder, Arya was crowned Femina Miss India World in 2015. On the other hand, Jay Kotak is the pioneer behind the Kotak811 fintech and the son of banker Uday Kotak. Little did this versatile billionaire know that his paths would cross with the beauty pageant title holder, Aditi Arya. Their meeting was a chance encounter; these two polar individuals collided at a soirée. An unusual first impression and withdrawing feeling left them messaging each other on social media platforms. That is how the sparks ignited and unfolded into a modern-day social media fairytale. Against the romantic backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Kotak popped the question to Arya in August 2022. She said yes and their love flourished in a year-long courtship.Â
The WeddingÂ
The couple began their love saga in Mumbai amidst their family and friends. Kotak and Arya decided to embrace their traditional roots and opted for a classic combination of Indian attire – red for the bride and ivory for the groom. Arya adorned a classic red lehenga, layered polki jewellery with emerald enhancements, a red and golden chooda that was elegantly resting on maximal henna, minimal kaleeras and a maang tika. For her hairdo, she chose a middle-parted bun. Kotak kept it minimal with a cream drape over his bandhgala, a red turban to match his wife’s lehenga and an emerald moti mala for a pop of colour. The venue was beautifully infused with a rich colour palette in white and red offering a picturesque earthy backdrop. The wedding was shot by celebrity photographer Joseph Radhik who has previously captured Bollywood duos including Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, and Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, among others. As love blossomed within a new chapter, red roses were showered on the couple creating a visual spectacle that echoed the love surrounding them.
