2019 was a relatively a confusing year for Bollywood as we saw some blockbuster hits like Gully boy and Kabir Singh, the industry somewhat seemed to sway away from real content and appeared to be more of a whimsical drama-land. It was also the year when the industry saw young blood taking the centre stage like Ananya Panday and Saiee Manjrekar. But mostly it left us all longing for movies with more edge and ambition. And therefore, 2020 has a long string of films already scheduled for the year and we have more than average hopes from quite a few of them.
Wedding Affair presents a list of promising movies that we are looking forward to in 2020.
1.‘83

Based on the glorious WorldCup win of the Indian cricket team in the year 1983, the movie has been quite the talk around the B-Town as Ranveer Singh, who will be seen playing Kapil Dev in the movie, kept teasing the audience by time to time posting sneak peeks from the project since quite a while. The movie will also be featuring Deepika Padukone and many other actors in supporting roles to make the movie a catastrophic success, we hope.
2. Sadak 2
One of the biggest hits of the 90s, Sadak, which featured Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles, is ready to see a sequel as Sadak 2. In an attempt to make an earnest come back to the big screen and to hit the audience with that nostalgia, the sequel features Sanjay Dutt, interestingly alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
3. Brahmastra

The paparazzi owe a lot to this unreleased endeavour as it was during the shooting of Brahmastra when the whirlwind romance between Ranbir and Alia came into existence and naturally all eyes are on this superhero trilogy, which is supposedly scheduled to be released in May this year after facing much delay already.
4. Laal Singh Chadda

We lost it when we came to know that Aamir Khan actually decided to recreate the magic of Tom Hanks’ 1994 Hollywood blockbuster, ‘Forrest Gump’ hindi me! The movie will be dashing into theatres on 25th December 2020, like Aamir’s tradition and will be starring Kareena Kapoor Khan opposite to the perfectionist. Let’s see what this one holds for us.
