Hence, to rejoice, we have enlisted some of his powerful works that are a symphony of his craft.

Manjhi: The Mountain Man

The movie is critically acclaimed and so is Nawaz’s powerful powerful performance. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the character of Dashrath Manjhi. He was a poor man from the lowest of the low castes. He would live in a remote village, far away from the real developed world. His village was by a rocky mountain range. His daily struggles to earn bread are powerfully displayed. One day, while climbing the mountain to bring him food, his wife slipped, fell and died. Manjhi’s love for his wife Phaguniya was beyond limits. Overwhelmed by grief, Dashrath decided to carve out a path through the mountain, so that no one else would suffer his fate.

Gangs Of Wasseypur 2

This movie remains a cult favourite among the masses. The raw and effortless portrayal of Faizal Khan by Nawazuddin Siddiqui remains etched in our hearts. The revenge saga continues to inspire modern lingo and references in India. His chemistry with Huma Qureshi and ultimate songs took the movie to new levels altogether. Faizal and Ramadhir’s clashes and tactics are the most popular. Gore lovers particularly enjoy this movie for its absolutely smashing end. But Nawaz’s rocking performance added the real charm to this movie. No one could have imagined the movie without Nawaz portraying the character of Faizal.

Manto

This is another gem in Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s career. The film follows the most tumultuous four years in the life of Manto.  Also, that of the two countries he inhabits – India and Pakistan. In Bombay’s seedy-shiny film world, Manto and his stories are widely read and accepted. But as sectarian violence engulfs the nation, Manto makes the difficult choice of leaving his beloved Bombay. In Lahore, he finds himself bereft of friends and unable to find takers for his writings. His increasing alcoholism leads him into a downward spiral. Through all of this, he continues to write prolifically, without dilution. This is the tale of two emerging nations, two faltering cities, and one man who tries to make sense of it all. (IMDb)

Thackeray

Babasaheb Thackrey believes that Marathi people don’t have any respect and are made to do all odd works. With a few people, he starts to help the needy and gains respect. To fight for the rights he also goes against the law and comes in the eye of politics. After entering politics he starts his own party named after Shivaji Maharaj as Shiv Sena. He provides Marathi Manoos with his equal rights. His only wish is that one day the Chief Minister of Maharashtra should be a Marathi Manoos. This is splendid work by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. (IMDb)

Psycho Raman

Nawaz is as good as he can get in this movie. The actor brilliantly pulls off the role of a psychopath murderer. This intriguing story is set in present-day Mumbai. Ramanna played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a serial killer of strange behaviour. The infamous serial killer from the 1960s, Raman Raghav remains his idol god. A young cop realises the developments with Ramanna. He keeps a check on him without his knowledge. Following his obsession with Raghavan, the cop is often quite close. Hence, creating situations where both of them come face to face.
