Ranveer Singh Completes A Decade In Bollywood Industry

Can you believe it has been 10 years since the entertainment industry witnessed one of the biggest superstars make its debut in Bollywood? Yes, you heard it right. It is none other than the Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh entering the movie industry and taking it by storm. Be it his quirky fashion sense, his lady love Deepika Padukone or his films, they have always been the talk of the town.

1. The Big Debut With Band Baaja Baaraat 

Bittoo Sharma, Ranveer’s character in the movie was a routine guy which made him extremely relatable to the audience. He even won the Filmfare award for the Best Debut. He was paired, opposite newbie Anushka Sharma. Their jodi won many hearts and was an instant hit. 

2. Working With Sanjay Leela Bhansali 

Ranveer Singh has already worked with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in three films starting with the hit film Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ramleela. All these films starred Deepika Padukone alongside Ranveer. The trio is already hit and if rumours are to believed, Ranveer is going to sign another film with the director. His characters have always been powerful and Ranveer surely did justice to each one of them. 

3. Deepika Padukone, Ranveer’s Lady Love

Every time Ranveer expressed his love for Deepika, the couple’s fans went head over heels for the power couple. They started dating on the sets of film Ramleela and dated for almost five years before tying the knot at Lake Como, Italy in an intimate affair. They are no doubt amongst one of the fan favourite couples. 

4. Ranveer’s Quirky Sense Of Fashion

Ranveer has been trolled many times for his fashion choices but he sticks to his own choices. The confidence with which he carries himself can put any person to shame. His unique style has been criticised but Ranveer Singh gives no damn and continues to wear what he likes. 

5. The AIB Controversy 

No doubt that Ranveer Singh has a list of hit films to his credit, but he has been in some major controversies as well. The biggest of them was the AIB Roast of him and actor Arjun Kapoor hosted by director Karan Johar. The controversy became so big that the video was taken down from the internet and a lawsuit was filed against the actors and the entire team of AIB. 

6. Gully Boy Nominated For Oscars

Director Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead role was India’s official entry to the Oscars. The film took the nation by storm with its storyline and rap numbers. The film’s tagline and the ending song ‘apna time aayega’ was on the top of the music chart for a very long time. We still can’t stop humming this track.
