When two souls are meant to be together, the universe acts as the greatest catalyst for this blissful unification. Rashi Binani and Chandramauli Kabra are the two souls who were fated to be one. An arrangement done by the families ignited a spark between the duo and turned out to be the best love story one could ever dream of. B-Tech and MBA rank-holder from IIM Bengaluru, Kabra fell in love with Chartered Accountant Binani at first sight. A few meetings, endless conversations and a deep connection made the couple realize that they have found their homes in each other. Kabra and Binani had a glamorous destination wedding on 22 June 2023 at Indana Palace Jodhpur, Rajasthan, seeking the blessing of their families and well-wishers.
Pre Wedding Rituals
The wedding was a grand affair which kicked off with a mehendi function. The bride imprinted her hands with beautiful henna designs and adorned a teal green blouse and a multicoloured skirt acing the indo-western fashion quotient for her mehendi function. The groom wore a matching Nehru jacket that complemented the charm of his bride. The frolicsome haldi function was conducted in a traditional setup with Rajasthani singers entertaining the people with their acoustical play and folk dances. For the haldi function, the bride accentuated a pastel multicoloured lehenga with floral jewellery and the groom opted for a maroon kurta pyjama. Both families celebrated their love bond with each other and had a blast at the haldi function as they sang, danced and played happily. The evening came to an end with a sangeet ceremony in which the couple and families danced their hearts out, all the scintillating dance performances were choreographed by the groom’s sister, Kadambari Daga. The Sangeet function setup was no less than a dream, the beautiful floral décor added elegance to the night. Binani adorned a pink lehenga and the charismatic groom, Kabra slayed the event in a black sherwani with rhinestone details. The wedding also witnessed some ‘oh-so-cute’ moments when the family members introduced themselves holding placards which had names like ‘Loving Nana Nani’ and ‘Dilwale Bade Bhatwi’ on them. The guests were thrilled by everything from the awe-inspiring décor and ethnic setups to the scrumptious food and rejuvenating drinks.
The Wedding
The wedding was planned according to the Marwari rituals. Kabra looked no less than a royal prince in a golden sherwani accentuated with timeless regal jewellery and a sword in his hand. Binani wore a coral-coloured lehenga embellished with sequins, intricate details and plush emerald jewellery. ‘Varmala Badal’ was one of the most joyous moments of the wedding ceremony. The groom and the family arrived dancing to the beats to sway the bride off her feet. The duo exchanged varmala and vows and started the journey of ‘happily ever after’.
