A Princely Turkey Espousal VIDHI & SHANIL

It was right after their second meeting that this couple decided to take the plunge. Taking the conventional route, Vidhi Kotak and Shanil Bhayani had an arranged marriage. Vidhi is an Ahmedabad-based interior designer and founder of V-Kreate Designs. She is the daughter and niece of Mr Pravin Kotak and Mr Jayesh Kotak, founders and directors of JP Iscon Group. The groom, Shanil is the Vice-President of Sudeep Pharma and the son of Mr Sujit Bhayani, Director of Sudeep Pharma.

The Bespoke exuberant wedding of the Kotaks and Bhayanis was immaculately conceptualised and designed by True Events, lead by the wedding industry stalwart, Dr Jaydeep Mehta, and managed by a crew of 375 in sync with Inventum Global at the premium luxury resort Maxx Royal in Antalya, Turkey from April 16-19, 2019.

The guests boarded the flight to the most memorable destination wedding experience at a supremely luxurious venue. History was created as the first ever direct charter flight (A330 Atlas Global) departed from Ahmedabad to Antalya with renowned guests, marking the next step towards the couple’s union. Çelebi service was deployed for the comfort of the guests wherein the guests did not require undergoing any custom formalities and their luggage was straightway transferred to the hotel room from the airport.

The wedding festivities observed a unique blend of trend, tradition and panache. Mr Harsh Kotak, brother of the bride engrossed himself into organising this dream wedding for his sister. A welcome lunch followed by a bohemian-styled sundowner by the hotel’s private beach, kick-started the pre-wedding festivities in the enticing Turkey. Low-dining tables, straw beach mat with cushions for seating, dreamcatchers, floral installations, low-light settings, earthy hues of the decor against the white sand — set the mood for a perfect evening.

The mehendi ceremony of the couple was held outdoors amidst the lush green pine trees and floral-peacock installations. A grand and striking ‘Black/Gold’ Turkish-themed sangeet was held the same evening, for which the bride wore an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensemble while the groom donned a Shantanu & Nikhil bandhgala.

A vibrant brunch pool party was held next morning for the guests. The pool-side was decorated with coloured lamps. Synchronised swimmers, pool acrobatics and dance performers held the entertainment quotient high.

Mesmerising, white exotic floral decor at the wedding by the beach was a soothing retreat to the eyes. Vidhi looked gorgeous in a powder pink lehenga with a scalloped dupatta. A polki set with a nath and maang tikka accentuated her natural beauty. Shanil complemented the ensemble with the love of his life in a similar hued sherwani. The ambience exuded dreamy elegance with the tall candle settings and mirrored table-tops.

LED show drummers, singer Mika Singh and Akriti Kakar, synchronised flyboard show in the ocean, kept the guests mesmerised throughout the wedding festivities. A blend of Indian, European and Turkish entertainment, their wedding was high on leisure and grace.
