If online shopping is a weakness for you, we have a solution for you. However, next time you find yourself adding half of Sephora to your cart, test out these genius multi-purpose tricks first using items that are already in your beauty arsenal. You’ll be so surprised at the versatile uses you’ll discover while simply playing around. Wedding affair brings to you some hacks you need to know.

Use your contouring powder as an eyeshadow

If your brown eyeshadow pan has run out, utilize a contouring powder in its place. With a condensed blending brush, apply some over the crease to give the illusion of larger lids. Alternatively, blend it over the entire lid with a flat brush and finish off with several layers of black mascara for a subtle smokey eye.

Use your concealer or cream bronzer as an eyeshadow primer

Much like eye primers, concealers and cream bronzers are water, oil, and sweat-resistant, making them worthy replacements for an eyeshadow base. Apply some to your lids with your fingertips, then set with loose powder to prevent smudging or creasing later in the day. You may actually find that these work far better than the conventional primer as they even out discoloration on the lids, leaving you with a perfectly bare canvas for your eyeshadow.

Use cream lipstick as a cream blush

We live for this hack as it adds the perfect hint of fresh-faced dewiness to the apples of the cheeks. Spring hues like peach, rose pink, or orangey-red are great for everyday wear. Add some to your lids as well for lazy-girl dewy eyes.

Use a dark brown fine liner to fill your brows

Brow liner pens are all the rage right now, but a superfine eyeliner pen can honestly create the same effect. Once you have sculpted out your feline eyes with a chocolate-brown precision pen, use it to build your brows as well, applying the color in thin upward strokes for an insanely gorgeous and feathery brow finish.

Use lip gloss/balm as an eye gloss

This might just be one of our all-time favorite hacks! Wear it alone or as an eyeshadow top coat — either way, it’ll turn heads. To avoid irritation on the area, we always suggest keeping it safe and sticking to a fragrance-free and non-plumping formula when recreating glassy eyes. Pop some on your lips for a hit of hydration, too!
