The entire fashion & media industry came together and took part in the 6th Annual Garage Sale, a beautiful initiative hosted by Seams for Dreams, an NGO that works to encourage recycling, promote second-hand clothing on 14th December 2019 in Mumbai. Their goal to clothe 100,000 underprivileged communities of India was out in full swing. The fundraising event was held at Mumbai’s most favorite Bollywood destination “The Olive Bar & Kitchen“. Some of the influencers such as Keith Sequeira, Rochelle Rao, and the media were also seen present supporting the cause. The 6th Annual Fundraising Event – Garage Sale is an initiative that collects celebrity and designer wear and sells them at unbelievable prices. The proceeds from this sale help sponsor the year-round operations of SFD.
SFD has collaborated with Mumbai’s renowned fashion institute, FAD as their fashion partner, and the talent of each student volunteer was remarkable. The displayed pieces by the students added a unique flavor to the fashion spread. Supporting this great cause, many socialites and renowned designers were also seen encouraging this new set of young talent present at the sale.
