The Royal Ajit Bhavan, Jodhpur
Constructed in 1927 for Major General Maharaj Dhiraj Sir Ajit Singh Ji, the Prime Minister of the princely state of Jodhpur, a portion of Ajit Bhavan was converted into a hotel. For the first time, a palace was given the tag of a heritage hotel. Maharaj Swaroop Singh Ji, son of Shri Ajit Singh Ji along with his wife Rani Usha Devi built this luxury hotel that was tastefully designed in compliance with Jodhpur’s royal past. They then opened the doors of their countryside manor in Narlai for guests in 1996. The Rawla Narlai is a thirty-year-old heritage manor with 35 rooms & suites which became the top-most choice of getaway for luxury enthusiasts. Starting with just 12 rooms, Ajit Bhavan now has 65 luxurious rooms for a grand stay. A walk through this palace makes you experience this mesmerising residence’s rich history.
