Mohsin Khan is rightly everything a woman can die for. From smoking looks to the exemplary talent of breathing life into his characters, Khan is killing it in all the scenarios. Khan, in a short while, has been all from being the favourite boyfriend, beta, pati and a family man in true sense for Indian television industry. Here’s to looking forward that he keeps nailing his roles in the coming time as well!

Mohsin Khan is the current ruler of the Indian television world. The girls are all hearts, the families love his role, and the critics appreciate his acting skills — the boy next door of the television world has got it all. Popular for playing Kartik Goenka on StarPlus’ tremendously admired long-running show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, Khan has touched new heights of adoration as the charming family boy. With Rajan Shahi’s blessings, the show has achieved the feat of being the first show in Indian television history to complete 3000 episodes. With this great accomplishment under his hat, Khan has been in seventh heaven for this pioneering success.

Khan, the talented actor with roots in Nadiad in Gujarat has been a guy with introverted conduct and breathtaking looks all his life. He cherishes and loves his close-knit family — of a brother, sister and parents — that stays in Mumbai. Otherwise, an engineer and a management degree holder, Khan had always excelled academically before developing a curiosity for acting and modelling. Interspersed within his academic years at his colleges in Mumbai, Khan kept trying his hand at acting and modelling for various commercials before landing on to his television projects.

With his surging popularity by the day, he has been able to rule the fraternity with his suave looks, fashion sense and unmatched acting skills. The talented actor made a debut in his acting career with a cameo in Colors TV’s then-popular ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’, where he played the character of Romil, an exotic NRI. This wasn’t as he planned though. His debut was supposed to be the character of Ritesh, another NRI for StarPlus’ ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ which got delayed and eventually became his second role in Indian television.

He was spotted and well-appreciated for his work in these shows. That’s how he landed the role of Kartik Goenka in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, and there has been no stopping since then. Rajan Shahi’s pairing of Khan and Shivangi Joshi together has been ruling the hearts of the audience since the show went on air. The show has travelled a long voyage since then with the couple’s story taking various twists, and journeying through various ups and downs. This is where learning lies, according to him. He loves getting into the various skins of Kartik Goenka in the show. The highs and lows of his character are the real challenges that help him evolve as an actor, he believes. The backbone of the storyline, as per his understanding, is ‘Kaira’ the love jodi of Kartik and Naira and with each twist and turn in Kartik’s storyline, the equation of the couple changes too, which is a real challenge.

Rishikesh has been his favourite location to shoot at. Aside from being the location of his first shoot schedule, it has been the place where the actor also bonded with his co-actor Joshi. Home-cooked food by Joshi’s mom available on the sets all the time — is the memory he holds close to his heart.

While also being shy in real life, Khan is quite active on social media where he keeps his fans updated on his real life. His personal style and fashion sense are widely appreciated among the ‘Kaira’ fans nationwide. The actor is also blessed with a wide female fan base across the country.

His first appearance on television was in an advertisement for CEAT tyres, which also earned him his first paycheck at the age of 18. And after that, he appeared in many advertisements for big brands like Limca, Safari, Micromax Mobiles and many more. He only climbed higher thereon.

His career till now has been replete with several promising opportunities. From acting in advertisements to smaller roles, cameos and a major lead role in one of the biggest television shows in the country — he has done it all to reach this stage of popularity in his life. Today, he is known for his amazing on-screen chemistry with his now girlfriend Shivangi Joshi, and his impeccable charm as the nice, obedient family guy of Indian television.

However, his initial stints in the industry weren’t as an actor. While being interested in acting, the actor has tried his hands at the production work, that is, he has been an assistant director as well before he started his acting journey. Khan was the second Assistant Director in the movie ‘Koyelaanchal’. “Koyelaanchal was a major experience in my career. I was part of the movie from its start to the end. I learnt quite a lot about acting too. And this phase actually prompted me to stay in the field, but as an actor,” he had said in an interview with an Indian entertainment portal. Besides that, he has also worked for various short film projects as a part of the production team.

Otherwise, he is a simple man who wants to make his family proud. Despite a gigantic fan base, the actor believes that the best of compliments are showered on him by his family. His father hands him a complimentary amount of money if he likes Khan’s performance in a certain scene or episode. This is the gesture the actor looks forward to all the time. Khan also maintains that it is his family values and support which has sustained him throughout his career and will continue to do so for years to come.

From the very beginning of his journey with the show, the actor has been honoured with various popular awards for his amazing work. The awards include Kalakar Award, Gold Award, and Star Parivaar Award among others. Apart from that, Khan was the highest placed newcomer in Eastern Eye’s 50 Sexiest Asian Men in the world, holding the 17th spot in 2017. Also, he bagged the sixth spot in the list of Sexiest Asian Men and fifth spot in Biz Asia’s TV Personality List in 2018. These accolades only define the kind of charm and skills he portrays on and off-screen to glue a permanent position in the audience’s heart.

He also doesn’t fail to draw inspiration from other actors as well to build his acting graph. He is known to be a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan and Cameron Diaz. An ardent follower of Khan, he doesn’t shy away from pouring some fan love for his favourite actor on social media. So much so, that he considers meeting SRK when he visited the sets of his show for the promotions of ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ as one of the cherished memories of his life. Another favourite of the actor is the movie ‘The Mask’. He owns a Persian cat named Furry which he absolutely adores.

Currently, the heartthrob is only concentrated on his ongoing show replete with various new twists in Kartik’s life. His approach to preparation, for each shade of his character, is quite disciplined.  He likes to rehearse for every scene well in advance to perfect his performance. For the success of ‘Kaira’, both Khan and Joshi put up a collaborative effort. Their energies balance each other. While Joshi is a natural actor, Khan employs a lot of homework into his scenes. Their critiques of each other’s work help them to keep growing and evolving as actors. The actor wishes to continue this journey until he has extracted every colour out of his character.
