Aren’t we all happy that this weird year 2020 is finally ending! Well, we are all hoping that 2021 will bring us so many new opportunities to rise and shine. Many of us are starting to set goals for the year to come. Wedding Affair is here to help you. Here we enlist a number of ways in which you can set clearer and smarter goals for 2021.

Small Career Goals

To progress in your career or grow your business, you need to know what you want and what you’ll do to achieve this. Maybe you want to be a senior partner at your workplace, or perhaps you have your sight set on entrepreneurship. Or maybe you want to take a one-year sabbatical and pursue your passion. By setting clear goals for 2021 you’re one step closer to achieving your career dream.goals

Setting Monthly Budgets

If you don’t currently have a budget, that is honestly the first goal from this list that I would tackle. Money is one of the single biggest stressors for people (especially millennials), and it’s one of the biggest points of conflict in marriages and relationships. So it definitely seems that getting your money under control should be pretty high on the priority list! Creating a monthly budget allowed me to get my money under control in a way I honestly couldn’t even have imagined.

Give a time limit to your goals

Set a time limit—because you need a finish line. Take that goal of yours, create a plan, and break it all the way down to daily activities. Then, give yourself a deadline. Hint: Planners like the Christy Wright 2021 Goal Planner are perfect for this. They’ll help you manage your schedule, grow as a person, and crush your goals—no matter what they are. For example, you might say, “I want to lose 20 pounds by December 31.” To lose 20 pounds, calculate things like how many times you need to work out each week and how many calories you need to eat in a day. Then do what you can to hit that goal by your target date.

Review your Goals and Objectives

Before you start thinking about the next year, you should think about how the last year went for you. When we look back on the previous year, we can see areas we succeeded in and areas that need to be worked on in the new year. Think about the goals you reached, the successes you had, the struggles you encountered, and more. Then, think about what you wish you could have done better and the areas you struggled with. By completing this step, you’ll be able to better figure out what you need to do this year in order to have a successful year.

Aim for Smarter Goals

SMART goals are also measurable and achievable. Not only will you know exactly how much progress you’ve made at any point along the way because you’re tracking something that is quantifiable, you’ll also always feel like the next milestone is within reach. You’ll never feel like you’re in over your head or you don’t know what to do next. And, whatever that next step is, you will want to take it because your goal is relevant to your larger objectives in life.

Not only will you be motivated to achieve your goal because it’s a stepping stone to achieving something bigger, you will also be motivated knowing that your goal is time-bound and you have a deadline approaching.
