No matter what the situation is, love always emerges to shine out of the gloom. Such is the story of Sreyansh Banthia and Rashika Pugalia. The much-in-love couple got engaged amidst the pandemic, radiating their love in all its glory. Sreyansh is the son of Mrs Sharmila and Mr Jitendra Banthia, and Rashika Pugalia is the daughter of Mrs Kamal and Mr Rajkumar Pugalia. The engagement ceremony was indeed beautiful.
Their magical ceremony took place on June 16, 2020, at the Leela Hotel, Gurgaon. Considering the Mandate of social distancing, only 50 guests could grace the event. Undoubtedly, there was a major feeling of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) among many friends and family members but everyone understood the current situation.
At the time of the event, the couple was welcomed with Laser Dhols and Dance performance by the friends and family members. After escorting to the stage, the Ring Ceremony took place and gifts were exchanged along with other customs and rituals. The engagement was marked with love and intimacy.
The Beautiful Journey

Sreyansh and Rashika share their journey before to their engagement. “In the midst of a pandemic, with every day passing the chaos getting worse. The whole world was stagnant and the forces brought us together. So, from being total strangers to now being each other’s everything, it all started. We knew it was real. What’s more hopeful that people were still deciding to tie the knot in such uncertain times.”
“Desperate times call for desperate measures, and we had our first virtual meeting on June 1. We live miles away from each other but destiny brought us together.”
According to Rashika, “There were oceans of emotions going within me. I was excited but on the other side, I was nervous about the new beginning. There was an array of thoughts popping in my head thinking about the whole new journey that I was about to embark. But there was Sreyansh who was humble, patient, welcoming and all that I ever wished for. We saw each other and we clicked. As positivity shines brighter than the sun, I just couldn’t have said no.”
While for Sreyansh, “For someone, who didn’t believe that a decision as crucial as choosing a life partner can be taken so quickly, I surely didn’t believe when that’s exactly happened with me! Barring the nervousness of starting a new relationship, I never felt the anxiety of choosing the right partner. From the moment I started talking with Rashika, I found a friend in her. Our relationship got such a strong foundation as neither of us were in any kind of family pressure whatsoever, and that helped us to open up to each other and fall in love naturally.”
“So, with this thought in mind, just after a few days, they decided to make this beautiful relation official.” Sharing further, the couple’s feelings pour out. “As teenagers, we all picture our engagement ceremony in a certain manner. Little did we know, we would be battling coronavirus alongside. Fortunately, we were blessed enough as we didn’t feel like that as the engagement took place at the time of the pandemic.
