Every girl wants to look flawless for her pre-wedding and wedding functions. Fret not as Wedding Affair brings to you three bridal hairstyles.

The Criss Cross Flower Adorned Bun

Nothing beats the traditional bun for a pre-wedding function. With this hairstyle, you can never go wrong as this sleek and simple bun suits all face shapes. Not only will this updo keep your hair in place but the elegant dash of floral accessories will make it look all the more beautiful.

How To Achieve It:
  1. Gently comb your hair using a wide-toothed comb and remove all the knots and tangles. In case of any frizz, liberally use a hair smoothening serum.
  2. Draw two two-inch sections of your hair from your left and right temples before combing back the rest of your back and tying them into a ponytail. Make sure to tie it a couple of inches above the nape of your neck.
  3. Comb back the rest of your hair with a fine-toothed comb and tie them into a ponytail a couple of inches above the nape of your neck.
  4. Insert the very end of your ponytail into a hair donut and roll the hair donut up to the length of your ponytail while wrapping your hair around it.
  5. Make sure you keep spreading the hair from your ponytail evenly around the donut, so that by the time it reaches the base of your ponytail, it is completely invisible.
  6. When your donut has reached the very top of your ponytail, secure it to your head with the help of some U-pins.
  7. Now, take the second section (taken from the left temple) that you had left out earlier, cross it over the top of the bun and pin it underneath your bun on the right. Repeat the same with the other section of your hair.
  8. Insert flowers on one side of your bun with the help of bobby pins.
  9. Finish off with a spritz of a hairspray of your choice to keep the style in place.

Loose Romantic Braid

If you want to protect your hair from the unnecessary heat treatment and chemicals then the good old braid for your pre-wedding function that is tailor-made just for you. Not only is this simple twisted-braid feminine and gorgeous but also looks elegant and chic with both Indian-ethnic and Indo-western wear.

How To Achieve It:
  1. Begin with a texturising spray on your hair. Flip it over to one side and part them.
  2. From the side of your parting, pick up a big chunk of hair from near the top and split it into two sections.
  3. French twist these sections by intertwining them with each other and adding more hair from the side of the forehead into the twisted braid.
  4. Once the French twist reaches the nape of your neck, simply split all your hair into three sections and continue braiding right till the end. Secure with a hair elastic.
  5. Loosen your braid a bit to make it look softer and fuller.
  6. Accessorise suitably to accentuate the look.

Dutch Braids

If you don’t want to put much effort for your pre-wedding looks but still want your hairdo to look intricate and pretty, try a Dutch braid bun. This stunning updo starts with double Dutch braids in the front, and ends with a fake juda at the back. A fake juda is the best way to achieve thickness in case your hair lacks volume.

How To Achieve It:
  1. Prep your washed and properly conditioned hair with a texturizing spray.
  2. Middle-part your hair and comb them away from the crown of your head.
  3. Place a bumpit on the crown of your head.
  4. Section off the hair at the back, starting from right where your ears are, and tie them in a low ponytail.
  5. Pick a two-inch section of hair from the right side of your parting and split this further into three sections.
  6. Start braiding Dutch-style by flipping the side strands under the middle strand, gradually adding more hair into the braid with each subsequent flip.
  7. Once your Dutch braid has reached the nape of your neck, tie it into a low ponytail at the back.
  8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 on the other side.
  9. Tie your ponytail into a low bun and attach a fake juda over it with the help of bobby pins.
  10. Finish off with some hairspray to set the hairstyle in place.
